Goal setting is a complicated process in life. I would like give to you some ideas, with which you can easily formulate your own goals and reach them.

At the present time there is an oversupply of everything and that makes it harder, to find its own niche. In my post I will therefore perform three points, you help, to formulate your goals so to come closer to reach them.

Describe your goals concrete and always positive

Imagine your desired destination exactly before. Always have in mind, what you want from the future and yourself. Describe you this goal without the words: “should” , “must” or “try”. For example: I should eat less, I should exercise more. Or: “I need to relax more” I have to be quiet”. “I'll try, to smoke less”.

Whatever applies to you, rephrase it without any form of coercion. This will stifle your good intentions in the beginning.

Your ambitions only describe, what you want to achieve. They do not describe the termination of problematic behavior.

An example: Instead of: “I want to eat less” you say easy: “I'll eat more aware in the future!” That sounds much less as coercion and more like, what you're going to manage, doesn´t it?

You can you this, ask the following questions:

  • How exactly it will look, when I have achieved my goal?
  • What did I or will I do differently ?
  • What steps can I take now?, What steps will follow?

Create measurable and timed goals

That means, that you will be able, to plan your goal in a timetable and create key points, that show you, that you reached your destination.

This timing is important for success and progress, you'll experience , for you are then able, not only to formulate objectives, but also to achieve them. In the period, you have planned.

Try to ask yourself some of the following questions:

  • What will let you recognize, that you reached (,)a goal?
  • How will others recognize the change?
  • Would it be okay for you to reach 50 % or 75% ?? Remember, that you are not putting pressure on you.
  • What would be realistic milestones for you?
  • When do you want to reach , what you have planned, .?
  • How will you handle it, if you miss the first or second destination in your goal plans?
  • With which methods will you still remain faithful to your actual final destination ?
  • What are appropriate rewards for achieving your milestones?
  • Exactly how you will celebrate your successes?

This means, that you can achieve your goals with the means at your disposal.

You see a lot of circles here, one bigger than the other. Imagine, your current scope for action is in the middle. There are the things , that you are already good at.

These are the things, on which you can concentrate first, to keep expanding them, until you reach the other circles. So you have security, that you will achieve, what you're have planned.

Because if you want to reach the other rings too quickly, are the possibilities, to fail big, because they are still outside of your core capabilities.

Test yourself within this area, become confident in your skills and then take small steps forward.

Look, where you take responsibility for your actions in this area. Don´t try, to assign responsibility to others, because that only leaves you helpless.

Because only, if you take responsibility, it is your success. No one else can help you achieve your goals.
